How long to wait till taking PTO after taking lateral in new branch?

If I made a lateral move within my department to a new branch, how long do I have to wait until I take time off (say 1.5 weeks for an international trip)? I have not used much time off and anticipated doing so this coming year, so I hadn’t really planned for the new job!
