Pap smear at 6 week check up appointment

I go to my check up appointment tomorrow and im pretty sure they are going to do a Pap smear bc I just turned 21 and have never had one before. My sister also who just had a baby said she had to get one at her check up appointment. Im just kind of nervous bc 1. I’ve never had one before and 2. I’m still a little sore down there. I know I just pushed out a baby so I feel like it SHOULDNT hurt but since im still a little sore I think it might. Has anyone else had to get one at their check up appointment?
