Indoor Electric Grill with (truly, honestly) Dishwasher-Safe grill plates?

I've been trying to find an indoor electric grill with removable grill plates that can be put in the dishwasher.

It's not going very well, as I've found two different George Foreman grills advertised as 'dishwasher-safe' have grill plates made from aluminum, which leave an absolute mess after use with many common dish detergents.

I've used dishwashers for decades and I didn't know about the issue with aluminum before, but now that I know, I'm certainly willing to pay more for a product that will survive most common dish detergents. Any recommendations from anybody who has used one? I'd prefer a smaller grill, unless the physically larger models have enticing features.

As I'm preparing to return my grill, anyone know of a dish detergent that is safe for use with aluminum? Nothing to lose at this point...!
