35m qurstion about an interaction with 35f

If I complimented you and you were interested in me would you use that opportunity to ask me out?

Im 35 m and do yoga with a beautiful woman probably 35-40 years old. We causally talk sometimes but most of the time I dont want to interrupt her before/ after class because she talks to her friend who she comes to class with. Last week as we were leaving i said hey Sam nit her real name, she turned around smiled and waited for me to say something. I was nervous and I think my voice was shaky but I said you've been coming here for a while I just wanted to say youre very pretty. She said awe thank you. And I couldn't think of anything else to say, although I wanted to say more, ask her situation ask her out etc etc. If she was interested in me she would have taken that opportunity to further engage woth me right? We had class yesterday and we talked a bit about our week . I felt a calmness over me because my feeling were out there. She didnt mention the interaction last week.

Tldr would you take the lead if you were interested in someone if they complimented you but didnt specifically ask you out?
