Res Class A to Reg F questions

I’m a COATS officer with 21 yrs served and recently started the recruiting process for MP (Officer). I’ll be going DEO and understand I’ll start with BOMQ, DP1 Gagetown then Borden for 6 mos. Currently at the background stage, awaiting medical & career counselling session.

There’s no CT or PLAR, so I’m curious how it’ll play out.

My questions:

1. Will I retain my Capt (10) pay?
2. Will be a 2Lt with my CD on BOMQ since I’m already commissioned?
3. Is the MP-Officer trade in priority currently? I’ve heard there’s less than 200 officers in the branch
4. How quickly can I move up back to Capt?

I’ll likely be the ‘Dad’ BOMQ.. Cheers all!
