Disturbing incident on Lakeshore tonight

I witnessed something absolutely unreal on Lakeshore today, and I’m still shaken. I was in the area picking up food when my friend and I noticed a girl sitting inside one of the nearby shops covered in blood. We could actually see part of her jawbone. A random civilian was holding something to her face and on the phone with 911 trying to keep her calm. We eventually learned she works at the dispensary next door and had been babysitting the owner’s pitbull, which ended up taking a chunk out of her face. She was crying and yelling, “Nobody’s helping me, nobody cares,” and it was honestly heartbreaking. What really shocked me was how few people around her stepped in. The staff didn’t do anything and it ended up being this one civilian who took charge, applied pressure to her wound, and called for help. Meanwhile, a few bystanders literally walked up to the window which is right infront of her face and started recording her as she sat there bleeding. The lack of empathy was unbelievable. Emergency services arrived and blocked the driveway, so I ended up stuck there while they loaded her into the ambulance. I overheard bits of the police report, and the whole situation just made me feel sick. the way so many people chose to watch or record instead of assisting it horrifying I’m still trying to process it. It was horrific on every level.
