Finding players for activities

I started a fresh account on ps4 about a month ago, and now I’m at around 375 light, and kind of want to start doing more of the challenging stuff like raids or nightfalls. But there’s no matchmaking for them. What’s a good way to find people to play with, and I don’t have a mic so I’d imagine that makes it harder to find people willing to play.
