CFB Selection

I was looking at some of the playoff chatter and think we need to just go ahead and acknowledge the obvious:

Ole Miss’s playoff spot now belongs to LSU by natural law, cosmic alignment, and basic administrative logic.

Hear me out:

The moment Lane Kiffin took the LSU coaching job, that spot legally hits the tarmac with him.

If Lane is LSU’s coach, then the playoff berth is LSU’s berth. It’s a simple transfer of assets. Ole Miss doesn’t get to keep the spot like some kind of alimony payment. The committee should treat this like a coaching portal trade: Kiffin goes to LSU, the playoff spot follows him.
