Media round 2 - my view

Media round part 2 continued on some of the themes of part 1. It wasn’t as charged except for a couple moments. Here’s my take and ratings. We’ll go from worst to best …

Malti and Tanya - continued their streak of poor performance. Malti was worse than first day and Tanya didn’t even understand that the woman that questioned her on tears was actually clocking her. She thought but was a compliment and I’m not sure the other woman who GK offered to sit was also really complimenting her.

Amaal - he did better than bottom two, but was annoying with his interlude of Pranit’s question.

Farhana and Pranit - Farhana actually continued her streak of being clear - but she was super annoying when interrupting others. She is a walking shitshow. Pranit wasn’t as good as round 1 and fumbled a bit.

GK - I know people think he didn’t do well - for those - I have some breaking news. Pressers and handling media is meant to be performative by design. There is an entire science and people spend crores training for this stuff in reframing a bad question, turning around a complicated question. GK literally hit sixers on every single one of them. If you know people / coaches in real life that do train on this - they’d agree with. To be fair - he is also the most seasoned and experienced at this - so it shouldn’t be a surprise.

On the reporters - some were good in how they framed the question and in my overly biased opinion - especially the ones that socked a whole bunch of them like Tanya, Malti, Farhana and Pranit.

The one holding the glass was an idiot. She recognized she had been clocked back by GK and hastily threw out MC Stan comparison … sure genius … lol.

The one that threw the personal question at GK - madam if you’re reading this - which is likely - you were the Tanya Mittal of reporters - who kept a naive face and went directly below the belt. When Amaal Malik steps in for GK because of your question - you suck at your job. Do better next time or find another profession.
