Am I a cheater

I played with a group that said I wasn’t playing the game right that I’m kinda cheating lol I Texas wedge anything I possibly can. I literally top almost all my shots but on purpose because I know they will go directly straight and low (we have a windy course) use my 3 wood for almost everything over 120 yards or so just because I know I can hit it straight and low, I also calculate how hard to hit it to not go over and I’m pretty decent at putting iv been playing for about a year now should I try and change my game to get more loft on my shots is it bad etiquette to play like that. I shoot around low to mid 90s counting all penalties and strokes.
