Is my girlfriend being scammed?

My girlfriend posted a tiktok and someone with an account that has +300 followers commented asking if they could include her in a mural she said yes and then being paid was brought up. She then asked for her number She and after that someone contacted her asking for her bank number (i believe this is all a scam) But anyhow they are trying to have her get home and scan a check through her email i guess? The details are a little rough for me but from how this sounds to me im worried that theres some way they are trying to steal money from her.
