Medical Retirement and VA 100%

After 13 years in the Air Force I was given a Medical Retirement and rated 100% on the VA side. For the past two months I was given both but for Dec DFAS says I cant have both and says im allowed only the VA portion but when I call the VA they said im allowed both since im over 50%. Has anyone else ran into this situation?
