Deep secret behind Iosefka door
I noticed something odd about the view through Iosefka’s door. You can “peek” through the clearings in what looks like cracked or broken glass and see Iosefka inside - but the perspective and parallax don’t behave like normal 3D.
The left and right clearings don’t match as you’d expect, and as you move the camera the image behind the holes seems to “slide” in a way that looks coupled to the camera itself, not to the door’s geometry.
It’s subtle in screenshots but obvious in motion: set brightness high, stand at the door, then slowly strafe left and right and move closer and farther while looking through different holes. You will see that Iosefka's model position in right side does not correspond to the left side
The view mostly corresponds to what you see when you reach the clinic from behind (but only when viewed in front), but from certain angles you get strange artifacts and repeating shapes
there’s a tentacle-like pattern
a silhouette that resembles an Amygdala
By shifting a bit lower, you get a statue silloute that reminds me of "bearded" statues
Statue that reminds me of "nose" statues in Old Yharnam
The female silhouette looks very close to the statues I’ve only seen in Oedon Chapel
If the door were simply revealing the interior, the parallax should feel normal; instead it behaves like a projected or precomposed layer that reacts to the camera in a non-physical way.
I have also heard from dataminers that the starting room contains a book asset with clinic textures packed together, and I suspect the engine may be sampling from that texture set when it renders the “view” through Iosefka’s door clearings. That would explain why the parallax feels wrong: instead of a true window into the clinic, the game could be projecting or masking a precomposed texture sheet that shifts with camera position
If people are interested, I can post a short video showing side-by-side clearings, a slow camera strafe to highlight the weird sliding, and pause-and-zoom frames where those shapes are easier to spot.
