Face-grain Serving Board
Hi all,
I’ve made plenty of end-grain cutting boards and other similar projects. However, I don’t hear much about face-grain boards for serving. Obviously they’re a poor choice as a cutting surface, but would it be ok for serving/displaying food?
My project: a 12”x36” serving board made out of 4x 3” wide wood strips glued side-by-side. Those four boards are hardwood species from California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii for sentimental reasons, so I’d like to highlight the wood instead of chopping them up and glueing them together as end grain.
