Pingy Pongy Pick-Up is the most insufferable episode of the entire show for me
First of all, the entire conflict is pointless and forced. Why wouldn’t Sir Topham Hatt just tell Emily in the first place that it was the uniforms that needed to be picked up.
Secondly, Emily is unbearably obnoxious and entitled in this episode. She endlessly whines about how *she* should have the most important job because she’s just the *biggest* soccer fan. The Miller Era habit of characters talking to themselves in corny rhymes doesn’t help.
I think the worst part of the episode is the way she forcibly inserts herself into James’s and Percy’s jobs because she’s just that entitled. The way she acted with Percy was by far the cringiest though. Literally coupling up to a car he was already pulling, and childishly trying to tug it away like a bratty child trying to steal a toy. At least James only had to swerve and hit the buffers.
It’s rare that cartoons actually agitate me, but this was just so aggravating.
