Lost my wallet in the airport taxi last night. Here’s what happened.

I arrived to terminal 3 last night at around 10PM and took the government taxi provided at the airport. I accidentally left my wallet in the cab, something I realised only 2 hours later.

I had the slip that I got with me. I went back and asked enquired about the taxi. They made me sit comfortably and immediately figured out which taxi took me. They then called the taxi driver who came as soon as he could.

He handed me the wallet with everything intact and asked me to check once carefully. It had around 5k cash. He also told me that he tried calling the emergency number on my office ID but no one picked up. So he came back to the airport hoping I would come looking for it.

I was super happy with everyone involved who helped me out with it and took care of the situation with so much warmth. I gave the guy 1K as a token of thank you for his honesty. He initially refused to take it but eventually took it after everyone else insisted. God bless him.
