I did Black Friday differently this year

This year I tried to go on a no-buy but realized that as I was running out of necessities, I hadn’t defined how to replace them. Would it be ok to buy several backups of say, shampoo if I was running out and it was on a good sale? I decided that yes, it would save me money and so was worth it.

So this year I took inventory of what I own and waited until Black Friday to buy only replacements - no new items to try out at all. Shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, cat food (so much cat food…), my favorite face cream, etc, all replenished and all on a decent sale. All will be used up and all will be appreciated. If you bought anything this retail season, how did you go about it?
