Anybody Here Panic Buying Because The Play Store Lockdown Coming?

Just thinking ahead on this... I love F-Droid, and the major carriers have closed off their bootloaders. The Play Store is gonna get majorly locked down so F-Droid can't really function. Seems like Google is the last phone to have an open ecosystem. Should I buy a 10 now, and get rid of this carrier locked 9 Pro?
