I live in the United States and have EDS. I recently got forearm crutches because a cane wasn't sufficient when I cant take a walker/wheelchair. 

No one physically measured me. I was asked height and weight over the phone and was delivered crutches. They started with Medline brand Adult crutches. 

I read the tag, and looked online to see if it was fitting correctly. Sources say that cuff should be 2 or 3 finger widths below my elbow. Sorry for the poopy angle, but in the photo I'm trying to show that its *ON* my elbow. 

I called my vendor and explained. They reassured me it's for my height, but scheduled a switch with the youth size ones. Im 5ft, so it was worth a shot.

The youth size has the exact same issue. The problem isnt the height, its the length between the handle and the cuff. Both youth and adult fit too big between my wrist to elbow. 

And, yeah, they're at their shortest.

I'm supposed to have these switched for adult size Drive brand crutches, but I fear I will have the same issue.

Any suggestions? Should I just kinda deal with it? Are customs a thing? I'm on a fixed income so I cant really purchase anything custom myself- has to be paid state insurance.

I talked to the vendor and they just keep reassuring they have my height and weight. They wont let me talk to the warehouse, wont tell me what else they have, and no supervisor with additional details or resources. They kinda want to keep switching out different ones until I'm satisfied...

Any advice or direction appreciated! This is my first set of forearm crutches so I'm still learning. Only been using mobility aids for about 5 years now

Are my arms just too short for forearm crutches?
