Online dating: the last two weeks in review

I’m still on FB dating, although I really have to wonder why. A couple weeks ago a very cute guy 15 years younger contacted me said he liked my write-up and said I was beautiful. Then after a few ”have a nice days” he faded out. He hasn’t unmatched.

Another man my age contacted me, we chatted about some surface stuff. He didn’t ask me anything substantial. He also faded out but has not unmatched.

Other likes I’ve gotten that I haven’t responded to (and won’t – names changed):

Carl, 46: His entire profile: “love coffee and restaurants”

Kip,  63: On his profile: “I am looking for a female in my age group… (etc)”

Gus, 58: His entire profile : “Honest. Funny. Adventurous.”

Al, 57 comment to me: I like your photo. No profile description.

The low effort is rampant. Why am I still on? I guess it’s cause I don’t meet anyone in real life. I’m 61. No question here, I guess I’m just ranting.
