New player. Suggestions for my first character

I'm completely new to this game, i was recently invited to a campaign mastered by a university friend of mine. Since i know for a fact that cyber ninjas/samurais are quite of common concept in cyberpunk, the idea i had for my first character was something opposite to that: a cyborg knight of sort, but i'm not sure how and if something like that could work with the rules. Any suggestion about that ?
