Out for Delivery / Delay Due to Weather?
I have/had a package out for delivery today. Was set to arrive between 430-630, and received a text that it was ‘almost there’. I live in St. Louis and we got some crappy weather yesterday. Unfortunately, this package has to be signed for or else I wouldn’t worry about this. I live in an apartment building and have been waiting in the lobby to make sure I can sign for it. But just got a text saying that it was ‘still arriving today’ and a tracking link. The tracking link estimated delivery says ‘the delivery date will be provided as soon as possible’ and the actual scanned tracking says ‘Delay: Emergency Situation or Severe Weather’. Is it safe to assume they will not be coming tonight? I just don’t want to assume, go back to my apartment, only to later get a door tag that says they attempted but no one was around to sign for it. I want them to be safe so I am fine if they don’t deliver today. I just don’t want to bail and then they still show. Any insight is helpful!
