Surgeon doesn’t consider bisalp preventative???

Hi all,

I had recently posted an insurance query but I got my answer from the surgery office today - my surgeon won’t include modifier 33 because she considers the bisalp to be an “interventional surgical procedure” and not preventative.

I wrote back asking how it’s not preventative since it prevents a higher likelihood of ovarian cancer and pregnancy.

How do I make sure Aetna Innovation Health covers it even if my doctor doesn’t consider this preventative?
