Waterfield Cases (CitySlicker - Essential iPhone Pouch - Shinjuku Sling)
I love Waterfield cases and desperately wanted one for my Thor. My first choice would have been the CitySlicker since the dimensions for the Thor are so close to that of the Analogue Pocket. I already had one for my Pocket and would have gladly gotten another for the Thor. Unfortunately the fit is just too snug for my liking, mostly due to the added thickness of the triggers. You can squeeze the Thor in but its a royal pain to get it back out and presses on the screen more than I’m comfortable with. (dpad and analog sticks leave marks on the screen)
The Essential iPhone Pouch is a nice relaxed fit. It’s a bit roomy without being too loose. The main pocket comfortably fits the Thor with or without the official grip, though it is a bit of a tight zip when using the grip. There are also a pair of interior pockets that can stow your charging cable, microfiber cloth, and a stylus or two.
The Shinjuku Sling is the largest of the three in every demension, mostly in it's depth. The main pocket is a little large for a naked Thor and tends to slide around a bit, but is a great fit with the official grip and likely most third party grips as well. I find that without a grip the Thor fits best in the large inner side pocket where its tucked neatly away from side and bottom impacts. Even with a grip case you'll still have plenty of storage for your charging and cleaning accessories and styli.
A couple details that may be issues for some folks are the size and the straps. Neither the Essential iPhone Pouch or Shinjuku Sling are form fitting cases and are both a bit on the bulkier side (the Essential iPhone Pouch notably less bulky). Also both have integrated straps that are not removable, so learn to love them or make peace with taking scissors or a seam ripper to expensive new case!
As for me, I'll likely continue using the Shinjuku Sling while the Essential iPhone Pouch is demoted to safeguarding other gadgets.
