Blind buys are not something that I normally do, however I guess I didn't want to have a case of FOMO. Knowing that these came from DT&T, I knew that I would be in for a proper smoke. There has yet to be a stick from Saka that I haven't enjoyed. So, I figured since my birthday was in November, I might as well treat myself!

Typically I let my new cigars rest for at least two weeks before lighting up, but decided to break my rule this one time.
The 10 pack bundle came nicely and tightly packaged with the date that they were packaged / last handled. April 23rd, 2025.
Pairing: Coffee with Cream
Light Time 3:30 pm
End time: 4:43 pm
The Cigar itself has a slightly velvety body wrapper with a firm construction
I attempted to pluck the cap off by the pigtail as you can with other smokes, but it didn't work very well, so I resorted to using my V-Cutter and creating a Crown Cut.
Pre-draw provided a woody and caramel taste that was light and subtle.
Evenly toasting the foot presents a very light spice and opens up the caramel taste, especially on the retrohale. A quarter of an inch of the ash dropped off when setting it on my cigar stand, but the ash itself was still solid and firm. Lots of smoke production.
The light spice starts to be replaced by notes of cinnamon, still keeping the 'burn' without the pepper.

As the First Third blends into the second, the sweetness lazily(and masterfully) sways back and forth from a caramel to a honey profile, and a new nutty flavor (or is it graham cracker?) has replaced all evidence of spice. Setting the stick back down on the rest knocks off the inch or so of ash that I had built, so note to self, ash it so I dont make a mess (again)... This might be due to the low rest time, I'll be curious how it holds in future smokes.

The Second progressed to the third, and a mineral, salty taste develops, replacing the sweetness. It was a nice change, almost reminding me of a Salted Caramel candy bar. The Ash ended up dropping off again (doh!)

Through the smoke, it remained very cool, with lots of smoke output (large while plumes after drawing, and a steady rise of smoke coming from it as it rested on the cigar stand). The flavors were well done. I'm looking forward to seeing what a month or longer of rest will due to these. After one year, I'm sure it will be a phenomenal cigar, if I don't smoke through them before that.

Hats off once again to Steve Saka, and hats off to the team at Cigars Daily for the amazing customer service that they always provide.
