She left me. I asked for my money back for the appointment she secured

She (25) left me(28) after we were almost about to close the gap. I’m thankful because I could have went there, and then this could have happened. So in a sense it’s a blessing she broke up with me now, all my friends say. But it’s just, so much time was wasted, three years.. time lost, money going back and forth from US to Europe. Like. We had a plan. Yes we had big problems in the relationship but most of them would have been resolved once the distance was over. I sent her about 6k USD to help with apartment costs because in Germany you have to literally buy everything. I was so committed. I told her I want my money back. All of it. Why should she take it and just break up? I worked hard for it. She threatened me by saying I don’t deserve it, but that’s not fair. You can’t use the money I sent you in combination with how you feel about me.

For context, she got fed up with my “lack of effort” and started to think of me coming there is a good idea because we fight a lot and things were pretty bad, when she secured the apartment I must be honest, she was doing a lot on her own, because what can I possibly do beside send money? I was there helping with picking furniture and making sure my visa is ready…. but damn she turned the tables on me by getting fed up and leaving. She turned so heartless on me.

I’ve been so sad. And so ill honestly about all this..

But any advice is helpful. I’m not being crazy by asking for my money right?
