to the girl at collage club a few months ago...

i've thought about doing this a few times but always chickened out.. here goes nothing

i told this story to a group of friends who are 100% in this subreddit, hence the private account. not letting y'all lurk on my profile, sorry. love y'all though 😚

earlier this year, we were both at the same orlando collage club meetup.

you were wearing a SWEAT tour shirt and sunglasses on your head. maybe jorts too but i could be wrong about that

i was sitting at the supplies table, which meant tons of people stopped by to get stuff to work with

the first time you stopped by, i couldn't believe how cute you were. you stood silently looking at some magazines and i wanted an excuse to talk to you so bad, i loudly started an open ended conversation with others at the table hoping you'd join in if you felt comfortable doing so. i cracked a joke and you bit, had a pretty funny response too. i choked when trying to come up with something clever and eventually you went back to your seat

the second time you stopped by, you stood behind me and pointed at my collage, saying it was cute (it wasn't)

we chatted a bit more, i asked you what you were working on and we had a slight rom-com moment when we both reached for the same magazine pile and when i pulled back to let you grab one, you took the one i was holding instead. the eye contact made me ridiculously nervous

i saw you get up to show your collage to the club head and was hoping to catch your eye and ask to see your finished piece and finally introduce myself but you didn't look up, and i couldn't muster up the courage to go up to you before you left. been kicking myself for it ever since

i've been back a few times hoping our paths might cross again but they unfortunately have not 🥲

maybe the combination of holiday magic and it being my birthday soon can make this happen for me. would love to connect, if you're interested
