Can anyone give me some info about these lenses and filters?

My dad and I inherited a bunch of photography gear when my grandfather passed several years ago, and I was hoping this community could help me understand these lenses.

I have a bit of experience in astrophotography with telescopes and astrophotography cameras, but next to none with DSLRs and photography lenses. Having said that, I understand focal length and focal ratio, and I know that these EF lenses are made for full frame cameras but will work with crop sensor cameras as well.

What I'd really like to know is what type of photography these lenses were designed for, or what I should try with them. From what I understand, different lenses serve different purposes (portraits, landscape, wildlife, etc).

Two of them have filters placed over the objective and near as I can tell these are UV filters, I think. Not positive on that. They say "B+W Made In Germany 72E 010 1x"

I'm just a photography noob that doesn't know where to start. I'm not even sure what camera I should get to try these out, but I've been considering buying a used canon 6d.

Here's a link to pictures of the equipment.
