WGU Healthcare Administration
Hello everyone,
I’m a 46-year-old nursing assistant working at one of the largest hospitals in the Pacific Northwest. Currently, I’m in my second year at a community college pursuing an AAS in Cybersecurity and Network Administration. I have planned to continue on to WGU’s BS program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance.
That said, I’ve been having some doubts. My concern is whether this path will lead to stable employment, especially with all the uncertainty around AI and layoffs. Since I already work in healthcare, I’ve been considering whether it might make more sense to enroll in WGU’s Healthcare Administration or Health Information Management programs instead.
My question is: does anyone here know of people who have successfully found employment after completing any of these three programs (Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, Healthcare Administration, or Health Information Management)?
This decision is important to me because I’m starting over at midlife, and stability is a top priority. I want to make sure I’m choosing a path that will give me long-term security.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice!
