Why apple watch not connect

i havent used my apple watch in a while and i wanted to use it more recently but i just wont connect like it used to, through bluetooth but now it wants me to use the watch app and the app doesnt find any watch, i restarted both devices and still no work. please help, google doesnt give any good.
