Fence sitter due to finances
I’m not sure if anyone else feels the same way but I’ve been a fence sitter my entire life. I just turned 29 and my husband is 27. We are both fence sitters and we both like kids. We have 5 nieces and nephews and enjoy spending time with them but we also enjoy when they go home and the house is quiet. I think at this moment, we are mostly leaning towards staying childfree but haven’t 100% closed that door since we feel like we have time.
I have financial anxiety and it’s always been something that stresses me out when children have come up in conversation. I understand that people just figure it out but can’t seem to understand how people can live life that way. Has anyone ever felt 100% financially ready and had a child? Or remained childfree due to not being 100% financially ready and still feel like it was the best choice? Also, I have a mental list of financial goals I would like to hit prior to possibly going ahead with trying and wondering if anyone else has financial goals they hit prior to trying?
