WABA triggers "Review in Progress" immediately after Embedded Signup (Coexistence). Is this expected?
Hi everyone,
I am facing a critical issue onboarding a client using the Embedded Signup flow with Coexistence (migrating an existing number from the Business App to Cloud API).
(Context: My App has Advanced Access for WhatsApp permissions and is verified).
The Before & After:
Before attempting the connection, the WhatsApp Business Account in the client's Meta Business Portfolio looks normal (status: "WhatsApp Business App").
However, immediately after the Embedded Signup flow completes successfully in the popup, the dashboard changes:
* The Problem: The WABA status turns to "Review in Progress" (Orange badge).
* The Consequence: At that exact moment, the Access Token generated during the signup becomes unusable/invalid, causing our integration to fail immediately with a "disconnected" error.
My Questions:
- Is this immediate "Review in Progress" standard for Coexistence on unverified businesses (likely a Display Name or Policy check)?
- Is it expected behavior for the API Token to be completely paused/invalidated while this initial review is pending?
- Should I just wait 24-48h, or is this a sign of a security flag triggered by the migration?
