Does the expanded mod feel authentic? I want to try it but I love the original so much

People who use the stardew valley expanded mod, does it feel true to the original game? I’ve reached perfection on my main save in completely vanilla stardew, and I am looking to spice things up with mods now.

I love the program game so much (over 500 hours so far) and I’m afraid the expanded mod will ruin the original feel of the game.

Does the mod really build off of the original content? Or does it make the game feel like something completely different?
