Why do people not like talking on the phone?

i think talking on the phone is way better than texting for one you know the tone and the way they are saying the message. sometimes you can read a message wrong because you don’t know tone. also just hearing their voice makes a better connection then just text. i feel like everyone these days just wants to text only.
