After hearing the rumors about Eeva’s so-called unshakeable composure, Claude decides to put that theory to the test.

“I’m pretty sure that guy is the serial killer.”

“Oh yeah?” Claude asks. He already knows what happens—he’s watched the movie at least a dozen times whilst trying to individually traumatize everyone in his house. The last person he did this with was Lysithea, who insisted she’d be fine yet shrieked like a banshee at every minor scare and unceremoniously dumped her popcorn all over Claude not just once, but twice.

“Obviously. He’s the only one who didn’t freak out when the lights cut, because he’s the one who destroyed the generator,” Eeva explains casually despite her eyes being completely glued to the screen. “That’s how you know he planned it.”

She’s wrong of course. Claude doesn’t interrupt her though; you never interrupt someone from making a mistake, even if she’s not that far off from guessing who the real killer is.
