Have a coworker that acts like my boss and it enrages me.

Office relations

I’m sick of the way he treats me. Either I’m being corrected over extremely minor things like not grabbing a “bag of clean rags” from the back instead just a handful, I say something and he acts exasperated like I’m an idiot, or he criticize me like when I was just learning how to use a new bore gage tool for the sector gear holes and felt the need to be snarky about how I need a lot more practice in general when all I said was I need more practice with just the brand new tool.

He’s got a lot more experience than I do, and constantly rubs it in my face and talks shit about other coworkers when they make mistakes. It enrages me and I don’t know what to do.

I almost snapped at him and wanted to scream “Fuck off and leave me alone” but stayed silent and left the room.

What should I do? Should I just keep avoiding him whenever possible and ignore him? I’m 1st shift and he’s 2nd and just shows up early, so it’s not too hard to avoid him.

Should I confront him, or should I go to my boss/HR?
