Why the hate on Infinite and Campaign Evolved?
I literary don't get it. From time to time I see a video about how infinite campaign failed or how campaign evolved will suck but every time I watch those videos I see hear nothing concrete or objective. It all boils down to Halo should have this vibe, this game does not have the same vibe. This point is especially true about Campaign Evolved. "They are reusing their own assets", "This is not the same vibe", "They are stripping the identity and making it look like Infinite". YET Infinite IS A GOOD LOOKING GAME. It is almost as if they want to remake old Halo games for NEW AUDIENCE and make their franchise consistent. "But the weapons look different and don't match the original style". No s**t sherlock, look a picture of yourself 10 years ago and try not to cringe on your outfit. The original armor of the soldiers in CE do not make any sense, but "oh no they changed it to their new one". Am I the only one in this. Am I the only one who things stylistic consistency across a franchise is good ? Am I the only one how doesn't understand how them remaking a game that is unplayable for anyone born after 2000 in their new style is a win for the community? By keeping the same story and the same missions (at least in spirit and goal) they are preserving the original legacy.
One of the worst takes that I ever saw on this topic was some guy arguing that the fact that they progressively look better was the point of the game. No the point is Moore's Law exists.
