The day I almost gave up… and the moment that changed everything
A few months ago, I hit a point where everything felt heavy.
School, work, personal stuff it all piled up at the same time.
I remember sitting at my desk one night, staring at my notes, and nothing was making sense.
I wasn’t even tired I was just overwhelmed.
I closed my book and said out loud, Maybe I’m not built for this.
I don’t know why, but I picked up my phone and called a friend.
Not to rant… just because I didn’t want to sit with the feeling alone.
He didn’t give me some big motivational speech.
He just said, “You don’t have a problem. You’re just tired. Rest and try again tomorrow.
That simple line hit me harder than anything.
So I slept. Proper sleep.
The next morning, I woke up feeling different lighter.
I opened my notes again and things actually started clicking.
Not because it suddenly got easier…
but because I finally gave myself a break.
That week taught me something I didn’t know I needed to learn:
Most times you’re not failing.
You’re just exhausted.
And all you need is rest, not self-doubt.
I didn’t give up after that.
And every time things feel heavy again, I remind myself of that night.
