rejoining the hobby (q for the girls)

hi everyone! i have a question for the woman in this reddit thread, ive been thinking about joining the hobby again but i wear (very) short gel nails, i was wondering if any of you bowl with short acrylic or gel nails and if you have has any issues? like them breaking as you release the ball or anything

im a 25yo and was on my high school bowling team, did junior league for a couple year then dropped out if the hobby once my group graduated high school and went to college
