bought fake coach advertised as real coach

hello! i recently purchased a fake item that was advertised as the real deal. thankfully i bought it through protected payments on venmo.

the seller described that she bought it on ebay, which they authenticate it and said it was real.

i have messaged her saying that the item is fake and she was unfortunately defensive about it. she did not provide the original ebay listing she bought from even when i asked politely.

i did read venmo’s policy and i could (?) possibly get a refund on grounds that “The item was advertised as authentic but is not authentic (i.e., counterfeit).”

i am never one to get angry about a purse because it is materialistic. but I did spend a whopping $400 so id at least expect the bag to be real.

please let me know your opinions im at a loss!
