Knowing when you’re TOO in control?
Hello! My name is addie, and I’m 18 years old. Over the past year or so, I’ve lost about 25 ish pounds. I feel great, I look great, I’ve never been more confident. But, of course, I can’t be normal about anything.
I’m a control freak, I like to pretend I’m not, but I am. I like knowing exactly what I’m eating, when I’m eating it. I want to plan every meal, every calorie, and then log it. I don’t eat in a deficit anymore, and I’m eating enough protein, carbs, and fats to maintain a healthy diet, but I can’t stop tracking. I’m so scared of gaining the weight back, even a pound makes me nervous. I haven’t weighed myself sine October, and the thought of weighing myself makes me extremely anxious. Even though I’m eating enough (sometimes more than enough, I overeat healthy low cal foods quite often), could this be some sort of disordered eating behavior? I weigh everything that I can before eating it, and if I can’t weigh it, I spend hours scouring the internet trying to find a guesstimate for how much i ate.
