Can’t figure out FS25 AI Workers

Is this game broken or am I just stupid..? i have played the older farming simulators and spent at least a couple hundred hours on 23. Finally got 25 for PC xbox game pass and basically gave up immediately because anytime I hire a worker to plow the field it just goes rogue and wont even drive a straight line. I must be missing something right? Tbh i just got mad and quit playing without too much extra effort but i’d give it another shot of someone could steer me in the right direction. Thanks!
