How good do you think the original concept for Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh could've been?

For those not in the know, the aforementioned series finale we got is reportedly an extensive revision of what was originally written with a theatrical release in mind and would've instead seen our duo traveling to Manhattan and be falsely accused of the crimes of a doppelganger criminal pair for which they'd be ordered to serve in an orphanage that said criminals intended to rob. It ultimately fell through and was likewise rewritten, but hopefully I'm not in minority for thinking that could've made for an at least decent-enough flick and potentially more poignant swan song for the show (I certainly don't mind what we have, but I'm not sure I'd say it felt very conclusive in the context of their development throughout the series if that's basically what Really Big Shrimp already achieved).
