Just to clarify, because there seems to be a confusion. The screenshot posted is not a private photo or leaked information. It is a public post made by Bi**** Bas*** who is a verified public figure, a blue-tick account with nearly 90k followers, and the Political Secretary to the Chief Minister as well as the spokesperson of the ruling party. His posts are explicitly public-facing political communication.

When a senior political office-bearer publicly states that someone who worked in the CMO Media Cell since 2019 has now cleared the SPSC exam and been appointed DIO, that information automatically falls within the public domain. A DIO is a public officer whose salary and authority come from taxpayer money.

Discussing this in the context of a public examination is not harassment, doxxing, or a personal attack. No one is talking about Siddh*** C***tri’s private life, family or relationships.

People are questioning systemic fairness, not targeting individuals. Transparency in a constitutional body is a matter of legitimate public interest, especially when the information was voluntarily published by a senior political figure himself.

This subreddit is actually serving its purpose. People can’t freely discuss these issues on Facebook due to political intimidation and threat to life, so Reddit is one of the few safe spaces left. We are grateful to the mods for allowing us this liberty to find our voice and speak the bare truth. There have been instances in the past of violent attacks by the ruling party when people dared discuss corruption in public forum.

Scrutinising a constitutional body is not “misuse of the subreddit", it’s accountability. Silencing these conversations only protects opacity, not fairness.

What an inspiration!
