Is a small university OK for MSW if I want to get my DSW/PhD later?

What the title says. I'm trying to decide whether or not it will be fine to attend a small, local school to get my MSW even though I'd like to eventually try for a DSW or PhD. The schools ranking is fine (top 20% in U.S.) but not exceptional. Would y'all share your experiences/thoughts/insight? Thank you!
