Solidarity with Somali Americans is important

No matter how much some Somalis bad mouth Ethiopia online or how much they engage in racism and hate toward others, I believe it is still important for Ethiopians to stand with them. - Ignoring injustice against people because of political differences is immoral.

   - Ethiopians and other immigrant groups can and will be targeted when the Somali issue is no longer in the spotlight.

- We come from the same struggle. We come from countries with limited opportunity that pushed us to leave, and we are both known internationally for poverty, backwardness, and war. Make no mistake, anything that can be said about them can be said about Ethiopians too.

People who say things like “they deserve it” are incredibly short sighted and cruel. Mark my words, Trump is using them as a test group to see what he can get away with.

It is a very dangerous game to judge people based on heritage, and the status of the country of origin.
