El, it’s been 4 years since you were found - get some speech therapy.

I don’t get it - this has to be some sort of plot hole or something we are just supposed to ignore. We’re supposed to believe she was raised by Brenner, educated by Brenner but - apparently has limited speech capabilities relative to the other children that were also raised in Brenner’s lab. None of them struggled with speech and yet even in season 5, her speech is STILL stilted and broken. She has attended school, been socialized around other children for a long time now and still sounds the same as the day she was found. I found myself having to suspend belief as she was talking to Hop about her battery being charged. She just sounds so robotic - it’s not natural. This is one of the few complaints I do have but something that has always struck me as odd. What an odd narrative choice on the part of the Duffer brothers. It’s like they wrote themselves into a corner and didn’t know how to get out of it.
