Whirling, winding sound from unit. Clanging/ banging pipes on top floor.

1. The heat itself works consistently, but the noise in the unit will go on/off the entire time its on, every 3-4 minutes.

Fyi -the pump is only a year old. Needless to say, Ive been using space heaters until a hvac /plumber calls me back .

2. I also have heavy clanging/ knocking pipes behind the upstairs shower wall. This starts the MINUTE the heat kicks on, and will keep going literally every 1/2 to 1 minutes for the whole time its on. You may have to hold the phone to your ear for this sound 🥴. Its much louder in person.

*The HVAC unit is about 16 yrs old *Pipes are original / 1950s , but we have NEVER heard this from them before, and its only in upstairs bathroom, not basement bathroom.
