Need help styling an outfit for a Christmas party. I genuinely have no idea what goes together

I have a few pieces I like (mostly black trousers, a couple sparkly tops, and some heels), but every time I try to put something on it either looks too plain. I don’t want to feel underdressed, but I also don’t want to look like I’m wearing a costume lol.

If you were styling a Christmas party outfit, what would you put together? Any color combos, textures, or specific pieces you swear by?
