Pregnant or previously pregnant OTFers: when did you slow down?

Treadmill Talk

This question is mostly about tread speeds! I had to take a few months off OTF for surgery before getting pregnant, and then was in the trenches first trimester, so immediately bumped down from 6.8/7.8/10 to 6/7/9-9.5. I’m a little over 18 weeks into pregnancy now and while I’m feeling loads better, I’m starting to develop a bump and it’s resulted in me feeling my hips and lungs more when I run. My OB okayed me to keep doing HIIT workouts so I’d love to keep doing OTF throughout pregnancy, but I’m also aware I should probably adjust intensity as I go (and also aware I have a tendency to push myself pretty hard). I’d love to hear about your experiences —

when did you slow down? Did you do it gradually? Did you take it down a notch each trimester? Or did you wait to get a pretty big bump (like end of second tri / beginning of third) to slow down substantially? Did you decide to stop going at any point?

DISCLAIMER: I’m not seeking medical advice (I can ask my OB for that!) just seeking firsthand experience from other OTFers who are going through / have gone through pregnancy :)
